Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
Lethbridge Real
Estate falls into three distinct areas, North, South and
West. Each area has it's own character and distinct flavour. Residents of
the city usually express a distinct preference for one particular side of
the city.
The South Side is an attractive,
well treed area, which benefits from Henderson Lake Park. As the name
implies, the park contains a large lake, and is adjacent to the golf
course. The south is preferred by residents who want to be close to the
city center. New real estate development is taking place at Fairmont,
which is itself adjacent to many new stores, including Costco, Wal Mart
and Home Depot.
The North Side is another
well established area, and contains the Lethbridge industrial zone, making
it popular with people who work there. The new Uplands Real estate
development is starting to push the northern boundaries of the city
further out.
The West side of Lethbridge
contains most of the new real estate construction, with many homes
being less than 20 years old. The west side also features spacious
Nicholas Sheran Park. The Old Man River separates West Lethbridge from the
city, however, the 6-lane Whoop-Up Drive bridge, and the Highway 2 (Crows
Nest Trail) 4-lane bridge, ensure easy access to downtown Lethbridge.
The City of
Lethbridge has a population exceeding 73,000, and
growing rapidly. We are centrally located at the crossroads of four major
highways in southern Alberta. The US border is an easy hour's drive south.
Heading north, the metropolitan city of Calgary is only a 2-hour drive.
Lethbridge enjoys one of the
sunniest climates in Canada, being in the rain shadow of the Rocky
Mountains. Prevailing dry westerly winds called Chinooks help moderate the
winter climate.
